Red Sandals

Hello there! :D
The pictures posted below were taken inside Serendra 2 condominiums. We once lived there and we might live there again after 'asdfghjkl' years. I don't know exactly when.

Scroll down to know more about my outfit! :)

I'm having one of those lazy days again. That's why I just paired up my simple floral printed tee with black shorts and red sandals. My footwear emphasized my silver polished nails!
I had no accessories on, I didn't even brought a clip with me. I am aware that this is a very simple outfit but I just realized that being simple is also attractive. It's nice to be simple once in a while. Also, you could be very comfortable with yourself which leads to easily expressing who you really are.

It's summer! So you are free to expose your toenails by wearing sandals! This season won't last long, so I recommend that you should polish your nails with daring colors like aqua or tangerine orange. You could even go for glitters or sophisticated nail arts! When summer ends, you might feel a little embarrassed wearing such nail-polish.

Are you familiar with Marilyn Monroe's quote about shoes? She said "Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world." By the way, Marilyn is one of my inspirations. She's confident, intelligent which adds to the fact that she's perfect in my eyes and I really want to be like her. Going back to my point, the sandals is the main attraction of my outfit, not my top. Its' strap is very easy to see because red is a popping color. It consists of both a dark and bright complexion which makes it an interesting color for the eye. In conclusion, wearing a red top could make you the center of attraction in a large crowd.

I really like wearing sandals because I could easily walk or run swiftly on it. I guess this is the right shoes for me because I felt explicit and at the same time relaxed. I didn't get that annoying ouch-y feeling whenever I wear closed wedges or heels. I was really able to smile and be myself. I think that's what Marilyn Monroe is trying to say.

OH NO! I was caught smiling by myself :)) HAHA! :D

White meets brown

Aloha everybody!
I know that I haven't posted for a while due to my hectic schedule but let's look on the bright side, here's another summer outfit post.
As I've mentioned from my previous post, my family and I had a quick summer getaway. Here are photos taken from our vacation in Tagaytay. The splendid and stunning backgrounds were from People's Park in the Sky.

Neat, tidy, and slightly pure describes the whole of this outfit. My high-tied ponytail just adds a tinge more neatness to the outfit. The color white makes the tan-colored skin tones brighter, in a sense that it looks much more lighter and glowing. A white floral crochet top gives off a retro taste, giving off a much more curious look to the outfit. It isn't as pure as white due to my brown shoulder bag, shades and wedge because sticking to one color is boring. I also wanted to give my outfit a pop. Actually when your clothing consists of a very neutral color (like white for example) it's easy pair it with another neutral color (like brown). Though it is best recommended if you it is not paired with a variety of colors or it would look very silly on your part. Two colors combined is enough. I remembered before, one of my Science teachers used to say that white reflects heat while black absorbs it. That is the reason why black or any other dark colors disappear when summer arrives.

(I know that I repeated my wedge from my previous post but I guess there's no harm in doing that.)

(Rear view of the outfit; right next to me is my cousin!)

I hope you liked this outfit! Thank you very much for reading.

Three in one polo

It seems so hot here in Manila so we decided to go out of town, to a much cooler place. Last May 5, 2013, my family and I went to a rest house in Tagaytay to relax and bond. This is the outfit I wore while we were on the road. Tagaytay is a very relaxing place. So if you're stressed out, Tagaytay is one of the destinations you should go to. Even though it's summer, the cool temperature in Tagaytay would make you think less of the hot atmosphere. Alright, enough about Tagaytay and let's proceed to the outfit.

(This is not part of the rest house, okay? This is part of our house in Makati. By the way, I'm sorry for my ugly feet which is full of veins. That's just one of the effects of dancing.)

If you are a petite, like me, this could be the outfit for you. My little secret to look a little taller is to show off your legs and pair them up with nude heels, wedge, stilletos or pumps. In this way, you could trick people by making them think that you've grown taller! It's a great illusion.
In this outfit, I experimented a little. I took out my mom's white patterned long sleeved polo and made it look like a cardigan. I just rolled up the sleeves, left it unbuttoned, and wore it to pair my sleeveless dress. My outfit is now finally complete, thanks to the polo!
Be creative and artistic, let your imaginations take you to create something new. Don't ever think that a specific piece of clothing is only limited to that category.
Another plus of this easy outfit is that it's a great fit for summer. The polo is made out of cotton, so it's thin, soft, and easy to wear. The top part of dress' floral and orange design adds to the season's look.

When traveling, I make it a point to wear a watch in order to keep track of the time. It doesn't only add to the outfit but it is also useful. It's one of my must-haves whenever I visit a place because I keep on exploring every area on that destination. I made it a habit to see every beautiful spot before I leave.

Your polo doesn't only stop at being a cardigan but you could also make it look like a blazer by simply tying both ends. It's amazing that you can reuse your polo into both a cardigan and a blazer, maybe even much more than that. Always remember that your polo isn't only a polo; that goes with your other clothes as well. As you experiment, you'll realize that you're not only saving money but you're also saving up space in your wardrobe.

Thank you very much for reading! I hope you like it! I'll make a post about our trip in Tagaytay and the beautiful spots we went to especially the part where we were sight seeing Taal Volcano.

Rompers to save your lazy day!

As promised from my previous post, I will upload summer outfit ideas and this is the first one. I am so sorry for the low quality. I just used a regular digital camera for this, so forgive me.

Rompers, it's a life saver for a lazy day! If you have no idea what outfit to wear and your time is running out while you're staring in the closet, don't freak out because rompers were specially made to help you out. It's versatile and absolutely stunning to wear. My is probably perfect wear for the beach but it could also be worn to the mall, park or other places to chill out and beat the heat. Obviously, this outfit is not usually very appropriate for formal events but don't worry because there are also rompers designed for such occasions.
It's simple, easy to wear and very fashionable. The simple clothing could be paired up with any type of accessories (like jewelries and such) and then finished with any type of shoe you desire. You're already good to go!

I matched my blue abstract cotton rompers with a light weight beaded bracelet and a pair of sandals. I chose ocean blue because it's a much easier and cooler color.

I bought this bracelet from a boutique in Vigan, Illocos and it only costs fifty pesos (P50)!
It's very cheap but the material and product is very rich.
That's when I realized that you don't have to spend huge amounts of cash for a signature outfit or an accessory.

The black flower of my sandals adds the slightly girly touch

Artistic, girly, and simple, that seems to be the personality of my outfit for today.
Thank you very much for reading! I hope you liked it too!
Happy summer to everybody!
